We’re really glad to see a good old venue in Coventry has not only survived the first year under new management but it has established itself as the trusted live music venue it used to be! Voodoo Kings played at the new Rose and Woodbine after the venue reopened for business last year, it was a great gig, a fun, rockin time was enjoyed by all. We had a bit of a soap box moment declaring this is the way forward, there should be more good, reliable venues on the fringe if our city centre…. Especially when we have lost so many in the he city centre…. RIP Jailhouse, Hope and Anchor, Beer Engine….. And we are still awaiting the opening of Whitefriars Alehouse… Or not… Thankfully we have to name just two, the Gatehouse Tavern and the Old Windmill…. Good music, good beer, anyway here’s where and when you are going to wanna be for good rockin, good company on a Saturday night..
